Even though it's one of the best schemes going in terms of effort versus return, it's amazing how many people still haven't heard of Xbox Rewards. It's the Nectar card of Xbox Live! Well, except for the fact that you don't have to earn a million points to get a single glass tumbler. And throughout April, signing up to Xbox Rewards can net you 300 Microsoft Points completely free! All you need to do is complete a few minor tasks along the way as part of the running Triple Play offer...

Obviously, the first step is to sign up to Xbox Rewards - if you haven't already, you can do that just by clicking here. Next, you just have to complete three tasks, one from each of the categories shown on the Triple Play offer page: Gaming, Entertainment and Social. They're pretty easy too, despite seeming slightly excessive at first glance; here's the list of tasks available in full:

Gaming
• Play any Kinect game for a combined total of two hours or more using your Xbox Live account.
• Play over Xbox Live using your Xbox Live account (obviously) for a combined total of ten hours or more.
• Spend 800 Microsoft Points or more on any XBLA, Games On Demand or Game Add-On content through Xbox Live Marketplace.

Entertainment
• Spend over 400 Microsoft Points on any movie or TV content through Xbox Live Marketplace.
• Spend a combined total of ten hours or more using one of the following entertainment apps: BBC iPlayer, Netflix, LOVEFiLM, Sky Player, blinkbox, Crackle, Last.FM, MUZU, VEVO or Zune (must be ONE app, not a mixture of all of them)

Social
• Use Facebook for a combined total of one hour or more through your Xbox Live account.
• Use YouTube for a combined total of one hour or more through your Xbox Live account.
• Connect to your friends using Video Kinect for a combined total of one hour or more through your Xbox Live account.

Which you choose is up to you, as long as you pick one from each category and complete them before the end of April. Personally, we'll be going for the two hours on Kinect (Bowling on Kinect Sports is a bit of a secret passion), having BBC iPlayer running Radio 2 while we work and then leaving YouTube connected to the 360 Gamer YouTube channel overnight. 300 Microsoft Points just for that?
